Invert the gamma table using an extended power function.
See Brainard, Pelli, & Robson (2001).

Parameter x are the function parameters as returned
by FitGamma/FitGammaExtP. See ComputeGammaExtP.

Parameter maxInput is the maximum device input
value (typically 1).
